McMinnville Campus Students
In compliance with Oregon Law, Linfield University requires that all students born on or after January 1, 1957, enrolled on the McMinnville campus document immunity to measles, either with dates of two doses of vaccine, blood titers confirming immunity or history of disease documented by a health care provider. Please log in to Etrieve to complete the measles immunization documentation process, which is a mandatory part of the registration process at Linfield. Students will not be enrolled in classes until the documentation is complete.
Some people choose not to vaccinate for measles due to personal, religious or philosophical reasons and they can claim a nonmedical exemption. To claim a nonmedical exemption for the measles vaccine, visit healthoregon.org/vaccineexemption. You will be required to submit documentation of exemption into the Etrieve system to be in compliance with Linfield University’s vaccine policy.
Below is a list of additional vaccines you may want to consider before going to college. Please discuss your decisions about these vaccines with your personal health care provider, or feel free to schedule an appointment with the staff at the Linfield Student Health, Wellness and Counseling Center.
Oregon Health Authority's (OHA) Vax to School brochure outlines more information on vaccines that are highly recommended for college and university students.
Additional recommended, but not required, vaccines:
- COVID-19 vaccine and boosters
- Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) series
- Influenza vaccine
- Meningococcal vaccine
- Tetanus, pertussis and diphtheria vaccine
- Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine
We encourage all new students to read this guide, produced by the Oregon Health Authority, to better understand vaccination requirements and recommendations for college students.
