Posted on 09.13.24 by Ainsley Medina ’26 in College of Arts & Science

Hi! My name is Ainsley.Portrait of Ainsley Medina.

I am a third-year student from Castle Rock, Colorado. I was initially drawn to Linfield because of the tight-knit community and small school advantages. As I have now come to experience the community here at Linfield, I have fallen in love with the beautiful campus, amazing professors, and kind student body.

Immediately upon entering my time at Linfield, I knew I wanted to be a Psychology major. I love working with people and have always been fascinated by concepts such as human thought, individuality, and mental cognition. Going forward I would love to work with children with an emphasis in play therapy. Outside of my time spent in class, I love playing pickleball and being active!! Hiking with friends and being outside has always been one of my favorite pass times! Although my time at Linfield has been a successful one, primarily due to the support of the amazing psychology professors, I have faced my fair share of struggles. I came directly to Linfield after graduating high school in Colorado and the transition from high school curriculum to college was a big step. However, with the help of the various psychology professors I had the opportunity to get to know, I always knew I had a place to turn to for help. The best part about the Linfield community is the unwavering support and availability of resources!
