Scholarship opportunities for transfer students

Linfield offers a number of scholarships to students transferring to Linfield's McMinnville campus and attending full-time.

 

Honor Society Scholarships

Members of Phi Theta Kappa (two-year college honor society) or Alpha Gamma Sigma (California Community College honor society) are eligible for an honor society scholarship up to $3,000.

  • Consideration for the honor society scholarship is given to admitted transfer students with at least a 3.000 cumulative college GPA.
  • A separate application is not required. However, please notify the Office of Admission or Financial Aid that the honor society membership is current.
  • Entering first-year students are not eligible to receive this scholarship.
  • The honor society scholarship is renewable each year at the same dollar amount if the student maintains a 3.000 Linfield cumulative GPA and applies for renewal in a timely manner.
  • Students are not eligible to receive multiple honor society scholarships if they are members of more than one honor society.

Linfield Legacy Award

  • Linfield Legacy $1,000 Awards: awarded to new first-year or transfer students who list family members who attended Linfield University on their application for admission.
  • Linfield Legacy $2,000 Awards: awarded to new first-year or transfer students who currently have a sibling enrolled at Linfield University. For the remainder of the sibling’s enrollment, they will also receive the Linfield Legacy Award of $2,000.

STEM Transfer Scholarship

The Linfield STEM Scholarship supports transfer students majoring in any of Linfield’s STEM programs. This $3,000 scholarship is renewable for up to three years while students meet satisfactory academic progress toward graduation.

  • Current college students who transfer to Linfield and major in any of Linfield’s STEM programs are eligible. 
  • Eligible STEM majors include: biology, chemistry, computer science, data science, environmental studies, mathematics, physics, physics with a material science focus, pre-dentistry, pre-medicine, pre-pharmacy, pre-veterinary and wine studies.
